Laurentiu has extensive clinical experience in working with people of diverse backgrounds and he is committed to help his clients address the difficulties they are facing by integrating evidence-based and effective therapeutic approaches.

Laurentiu’s therapeutic approach focuses on building a better quality of life and build resilience for his clients. Besides the specific interest in addressing issues related to anxiety, stress and trauma, Laurentiu has also gained considerable experience in addressing issues related to relationship, parenting and life coping skills.

Laurentiu is an interactive and integrative therapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He works with each individual with compassion and empathy and he motivates his clients to build on their strengths and to attain their full potential.

Education

Laurentiu holds a Master of Social Work from University of Toronto and is certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which has been empirically proven to be effective in addressing issues related to anxiety, stress, depression and trauma. Laurentiu is also certified in Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy and he is a Registered Life Coach with the Certified Coaches Federation. Laurentiu has also a Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis bestowed by University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine and Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Laurentiu is also a certified EMDR therapist and successfully integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapeutic approaches.

Professional Activities and Memberships

Laurentiu is a Registered Social Worker, in good standing with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, Ontario Association of Social Workers and Certified Coaches Federation.
